General FAQ’s
Does it cost anything for my club or my club members to join the Clubster social network?
Joining and using the Clubster network is free to both the club and its members. Clubster is a private social network, specifically for club to member and member to member communication without any concern about the cost.
What is the difference between Clubster and other social network sites like Facebook?
Clubster is different than other social networking sites, like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, in many ways. The major difference is that Clubster is a private, exclusive network, meaning you must be a member of a private club to become a part of the network. Facebook and others are open social networks that allow anyone to be on the network.
In addition, Clubster has been designed with both the club member and the club manager in mind. Clubster offers unique features that are not available on Facebook. For instance, Clubster offers a custom “myHomeClub” online management system, allowing club staff to easily send out real-time information to club members including invitations to club functions, club news, staff blogs, and much more.
I already have a club website, and communicate with my club members through e-mail and our website. Why do I need to join the Clubster social network?
Clubster does not compete or take away from your existing club website, if fact it’s just the opposite. Clubster can increase the value of your club website and encourage your members to go there.
By using Clubster to post real-time news items, announcements, and events, members can then be linked directly to your club’s website for further information. It is true, however, that by using Clubster regularly, you could diminish the need for emails and newsletters, but in return you save both time and money.
What is required to sign my club up for Clubster?
It’s simple, easy and automated. Once your club joins the network, you will receive a set of instructions explaining everything you need to know to invite your members to join Clubster. Should you choose, you can also receive Clubster billing inserts, counter top brochures, and other communications to inform your members about Clubster.
In addition, the Clubster online management system provides complete instructions on emailing out Clubster invitations to your club members, where they can simply click thru to sign up and join the Clubster network.
What is required for my club members to sign up for Clubster?
The club member simply creates a user account on Clubster.com, that includes their email address and password. That’s all. The club member can then follow instructions and create a user profile, and instantly enjoy the benefits of being a “Clubster”.
How do I communicate with my club members using Clubster?
It’s a snap, by using the Clubster “myHomeClub” online management system. Club managers and staff can log into the system and select from a set of the following menu options:
- Manage Club Staff Member Accounts
- Manage Clubster Member Roster
- Manage Home Club Account Information
- Create and Post Club News and Blogs
- Create, Post, and Manage Club Events
- Create and Upload Club Photo Albums
A complete set of Help files are available in each section for any questions you may have, or you can always call the Clubster Club Services Hotline for personalized service.
How can my club members communicate with other club members using Clubster?

Club members will frequently check into Clubster.com via their computer or web-enabled cell phones (PDA’s) to send and receive all sorts of communications with other club members, keeping in touch at all times.
